i made it to the end of the
, woohoo! š„³i thought about writing a special ālastā post today, reflecting on things iāve learned and still aspire to and whatnot, but in the end i decided that was Quatsch (one of my favorite german words which means something like ānonsenseā or ābaloneyā). of course this isnāt my last draft post ever - just the last week-daily one for a little while! and i havenāt decided yet how i want to continue these going forward, so iāll come back to that question at some other to-be-determined time.
so instead of a goodbye post, and in celebration of my 100th draft, i am writing an exactly 100-word short story (which i now know, thanks to
, is called a ādrabbleā!):she took a drag from her cigarette, the last one she would ever smoke (but of course she couldnāt know that). there would be time for speculation the next morning; CSI would descend on her hotel room, tiptoe past cracked bottles of booze, examine a trail of mahogany blood on bathroom tile and an unidentified powder which was not cocaine but also wasnātĀ not cocaine. for now she exhaled unaware, flaring her nostrils slightly, and watched the smoke curl back around her reflection, then dissipate into neon air, a pillar of ash evaporating to reveal a perfectly smudged cat eye.
Congratulations to all of the other participants in the 100-day challenge, and a huge thank you again to
for graciously hosting us! š
a 100-word story
Congratulations on reaching this milestone! š
I enjoyed your posts very much and will continue looking forward to whatever you write next!
Captivating! I'm glad this isn't the last post for you either!
